The 55-Alive! Battle of the Boomer Bands is here!

The 55-Alive! Battle of the Boomer Bands is an online competition where solo artists and band musicians can battle for fame and notoriety (and perhaps gain a new Fan Club along the way).

Musicians born before 1964 can enter the competition by submitting a music video to 55-Alive!  Artists and bands can also create an online profile to tell the 55-Alive! community about their music and build upon their fan base.

Solo Artist and Band videos will be featured on this page.  55-Alive! members and visitors can watch videos, rate the bands, and view and make comments on the artist/band profiles.

The Deadline to enter the Contest is December 1, 2007.  Following this date will be the Seedings Period, where 55-Alive! Members can cast their votes among the artists and bands, which will determine the head-to-head match-ups.

During the Seedings Period, each 55-Alive! Member will receive a number of votes equal to the total number artist/band entries.  Members can cast all their votes for one artist or band, or distribute their votes among the artists and bands.

After the Seedings Period ends, bands and artists will go head-to-head, with the winner advancing to the next round.
